1.25" (1 1/4") Standard Fit, Dust Genie Attachment

Do you get the feeling your duster is just moving dust around?
Would you like to get rid of dust and allergens, not just relocate them?

Whether the job calls for gently cleaning a fragile silk lampshade, or scouring stubborn dust from durable surfaces like window blinds, the Dust Genie is simply amazing. Driven by the revolutionary, patent-pending TurbnX™, the Dust Genie harnesses the power of your vacuum to make dust disappear!

The Dust Genie Introductory Package includes these accessories:
  • 2" brush with natural bristles
  • 1" brush with natural bristles
  • Extension nozzle required to mount 1" brush
  • Adapter for 1.25" outside diameter hose end, handpiece or extension tube

The 2" brush cleans a slightly wider path, and its broader field of suction can be an advantage in open areas.  The 1" brush fits more easily into corners, and the extension nozzle it mounts on is more maneuverable in restricted spaces.  Natural bristles wear well, do a much better job of removing dust than synthetics, and are safe to use on electronics and computers because they do not generate static electricity.  And if you do manage to wear them out, replacement brushes are available (and they are literally a snap to install).

The Technology Behind the Dust Genie
It required 3 1/2 years of intensive R&D to ready the Dust Genie for its introduction, which is also the commercial debut of the TurbnX™. The TurbnX™ is an entirely new type of turbine, and it derives its power from the airflow a vacuum cleaner generates as part of its normal operation. Because the TurbnX™ is incredibly efficient, it is able to drive the Dust Genie’s rotating brush without impairing the suction of the vacuum cleaner, which is a major reason the Dust Genie is so effective.

While the TurbnX™ was conceived and born in a garage, the efficiency of the current generation owes much to the rounds of Computational Fluid Dynamics (“CFD”) modeling and analysis that have followed. CFD utilizes extremely powerful, multi-processor computers to simulate the dynamics of the flows through a turbine. Each round of CFD modeling and analysis began with the creation of a computerized model of the TurbnX™ at its then current stage of development. Next, that model was tweaked until its performance in computer simulations mirrored the real world performance of the TurbnX™. The refined model was then subjected to hours of computer simulations designed to identify potential improvements.

The most promising of those potential improvements were incorporated into the computerized model, and it was run through another series of computer simulations. In a matter of hours those simulations evaluated the probable impact of the proposed changes on the performance of the TurbnX™, a process that would have required weeks or months if physical prototypes had been built and tested.

CFD made it possible to refine the design of the TurbnX™ far more rapidly (and cost effectively) than would have been achievable otherwise. The latest generation is extremely efficient yet highly compact, as is the Dust Genie it powers. And because the TurbnX™ is the only moving part in the Dust Genie (other than sealed ball bearings), there isn’t much that can go wrong, making the Dust Genie reliable and durable.
Why the Dust Genie Is the Most Effective Duster Ever

The key to the Dust Genie’s unique capabilities lies in the interaction of the “virtual nozzle” created by the rotating brush with the powerful vortex generated by the TurbnX™. The rapid rotation of the TurbnX™ causes the air drawn through it to rotate as well, generating a vortex that enhances the vacuum cleaner's suction. Because the brush also rotates at a high rate of speed, its bristles form a “virtual nozzle” that concentrates the field of suction, increasing its effectiveness.

The net result: the stubbornly-clinging dust, lint, pollen, etc., that defeats other dusters is dislodged by the Dust Genie’s rotating brush, collected by the “virtual nozzle”, drawn into and through the TurbnX™ by vortex-enhanced suction, and deposited into the vacuum cleaner’s bag or dust cup.
